Our Auckland Kayak Fishing Tours begin at 10am when we collect you from your Auckland city accommodation. If you are staying outside of the area we will be able to arrange a meeting place with you prior to your unique Kayak Fishing Adventure Tour with us.
Learn about types of bait and what is good for catching certain types of fish suitable for kayak fishing. Travel in comfort in our luxury 4WD as we transport you through some spectacular scenery to a great beach from which to launch our fishing kayaks. Along the way we will stop at scenic vantage points so that you can take some photos.
Our Auckland Kayak Fishing Tours begin at and return to a beautiful beach location near Auckland. When we get to the beach we unpack and prepare before we conduct a safety briefing. We will be travelling with extensive safety equipment to ensure your ultimate enjoyment and safety. Then it's launch time and off we go on our Kayak Fishing Adventure!
Kayak along our stunning coastline, relax and try fishing from kayaks using various methods - the mixture of which is usually the secret of our success each day! Fish such as Snapper, Kingfish, Gurnard, Kahawai, Trevally and John Dory are all caught in this area. Any fish that are within legal limits can be kept if you wish to eat them.
For lunch we will land on a beach and you will get the opportunity to have a swim. A generous lunch, snacks and hot/cold drinks are all provided.
At the end of your unique Kayak Fishing adventure we return you and your prized catch to your accommodation or pick-up location in Auckland. If you don't know how to fillet or prepare your fish, we can also do it for you!
Our Auckland Kayak Fishing Tours take place in some of the most stunning waters New Zealand (and the world for that matter) have to offer. We often even see Penguins beside our kayaks, plus other wildlife such as the graceful Australasian Gannets and even Dolphins!
Our Auckland Kayak Fishing Tours operate all year round. We are particularly busy in the summer months so you should book as far in advance as possible.
What to bring:
We recommend casual and comfortable clothing for our Kayak Fishing Tours. You will need to dress appropriately for the weather on the day. In all cases you should bring warm clothes (especially for afterwards), a wind/rain jacket, a towel, swimmers, a camera and a great attitude! Life jackets and all kayaking and fishing equipment is provided.

- We can offer you single fishing kayaks if you wish, i.e. each one of you can be your own captain, while if preferred you can also use a specially-designed double fishing kayak while Kayak Fishing around Auckland.
- Our fishing kayaks are all of the highest quality and are very new. This extends of course to the very best lifejackets, paddles and all other safety equipment such as emergency flares, coastguard communication, VHF Radio etc to ensure your safety.
- Very small groups. For reasons of safety and keeping it all personal, we take out a maximum of 6 kayakers on any Kayak Fishing Tour. We are also able to offer exclusive tours - just ask us! Of course you can paddle your own fishing kayak if you wish, or use double fishing kayaks if you prefer.
- Extremely stable and high-quality sit-on kayaks specifically designed for kayak fishing. Should you fall in, you will NOT be potentially trapped underwater unable to get out, as you could be in classical sit-in sea kayaks. Instead, you would just fall off - which happens VERY rarely - and we can get you back into your kayak very easily.
- Safety: We have a perfect 100% safety record and with our extensive training and the very best equipment, we intend to keep it that way.
- We are also very environmentally aware and have achieved numerous environmental certifications - see also our Environmental Policy.
- We are a Qualmark Endorsed Visitor Activity plus in addition have received the Qualmark Enviro GOLD Award as one of New Zealand's most environmentally-friendly tourism businesses. We also recently won a global tourism award in conjunction with the United Nations.
Full Day Kayak Fishing Tours - NZ$295 per person
Includes transport, lunch(!), snacks, hot/cold drinks and all equipment, plus all taxes and park fees.
Timeframe:
We will pick you up at 9am and you will return around 5pm unless we arrange an alternative time to suit conditions.
